Students in Ms. Miletichs AP Government class walked to the Freedom Forum at the First Amendment Center Tuesday to listen to a panel of journalists, including Chris Matthews and Joe Klein and moderated by John Seigenthaler and Congressman Harold Ford, Jr., discuss the Presidential election and debate. After the word went out that McCains motorcade had gone down Edgehill Avenue Tuesday, rain did not deter a group of high school students from spending their lunch period waiting for Obama to drive down Edgehill Avenue. He finally did.

Hunter Tulipan ’09 (l.) of Boy Scout Troop 92 has received his Eagle Silver Palm, the highest attainable honor for Boy Scouts. It is earned for continued leadership and additional merit badges after being awarded Eagle. Ben Ramsaur ’09 has achieved the Eagle rank.  These boys started their scouting days in USN’s Troop 221 and then joined BSA Troop 92.

Throughout the year, Mr. Sharp’s 6th grade advisory visits Mr. Hooper’s kindergarten class, and the book buddies spend time reading together.







Parents and lower school students stroll through the streets of fifth grades Fantasy Animal Kingdom, a project that began with summer reading of Newbery award winner Mrs. Frisby and the Rats of NIMH, followed by a summer reading hero essay and a fantasy animal kingdom essay.



Middle School parents, if your child is interested in performing at Middle School Classical Music Night on Tuesday, November 11, please contact Katie Greenebaum. It’s an opportunity for students who have been studying an instrument privately for at least two years to perform informally for parents and friends. The evening begins at 5 and concludes by 6:15 with refreshments for all.
