Sam Jackson is USN’s new Annual Fund Director. Sam has spent the past 8 years with the Boy Scouts, most recently as Scoutreach Director, where he developed strong volunteer recruitment, fundraising, community relations, leadership, and management skills. Sam has a B.S. in Social Work and M.A. in Recreation Administration from Tennessee State University.

This summer Blaine Brown ’09 traveled to Europe, a trip she won in the Girl Scout Global Citizens essay contest. A Girl Scout for twelve years, Blaine will be the speaker for the Girl Scouts of Middle Tennessee at the 2008 Tennessee Women’s Economic Summit. Since 2006 she has served as a Teen Member on the Girl Scouts of Middle Tennessee Board of Directors, and she was a delegate to the annual meeting of the Girl Scouts of Middle Tennessee for the past three years. She will be a delegate to the GSUSA 51st National Convention in October. Blaine has earned her Bronze, Silver, and Gold Awards (the Girl Scouts’ equivalent of the Eagle).
