MTSU Adult Summer Language Institute
The MTSU Adult Summer Language Institute offers intensive language classes at USN for adults (also open to rising 7th graders and older students). Sponsored by the Center for Accelerated Language Acquisition at MTSU, language offerings include: German, Arabic, Chinese/Mandarin, French, Scottish Gaelic, and Spanish. Julia Hudnut-Beumler ’09 won the Tennessee History Day competition in the category of senior historical paper on April 5 at the University of Memphis. Julia’s paper is “’I forged the thunderbolts and she fired them.’ Conflicting Ideals and Collaboration for Women's Equality—the Unique Relationship of Elizabeth Cady Stanton and Susan B. Anthony.”



USN students and parents are invited to a free lecture on the dangers of gambling at MBA Tuesday, April 15 at 5:30 in Pfeffer Hall. The lecture is by Michael Franzese, “former Mob boss who walked away from crime.”

Middle School Family Weekend this spring will be April 18-20. Middle School designates one weekend each trimester as “Family Weekends,” where no homework is assigned and families are encouraged to plan events that they can enjoy together.



This weeks Sunday afternoon Middle School boys' basketball clinic has been canceled.
Clinics remaining are April 20, 27, and May 11, in Sperling Gym 4-6:00. All 4th-7th grade boys are welcome, and those expecting to participate in the program next year should be present if possible. Questions?  Contact Coach Jeremy Wilhelm at jwilhelm@usn.org

Tonight is the annual fourth grade operetta, “Tunes and Tales.” This year Brandon Wilson and his seventh and eighth grade Theater Technology class have been working with the fourth grade to provide stage scenery, sound, and light support.
