At the end of their study of Antarctica, first graders heard from two people who have spent time there: HS geology teacher Steve Smail, who shot this photo near the Shackleton Glacier in 1995, and Janet Huddleston ’75, who has spent 9 seasons working on the continent.

If you have a digital video camera (one that uses MiniDV tapes) or a 35mm digital SLR still camera that you are no longer using, a MS electives course would welcome a donation of that equipment. Email Lyonel Gilmer at lgilmer@usn.org.

Middle School Tigers of the Week
Congratulations to Sarah Elliot, Mallory Leeper, Francesca Eluhu, Meredith Forrester, and Whitley Cargile, Tigers of the Week. The MS girls’ basketball teams are off to great starts due in large part to the effort and tenacity these girls have demonstrated during the early part of the season. Go Tigers!

Health Forms Needed

All high school and middle school athletes must have a health form on file with the athletic department before they engage in team practices. Forms are on the USN website and should be returned to Josh Scouten in the athletics office. Email jscouten@usn.org if you have questions.
