Request for Donations
of Clothing

The high school Community Service Club is collecting needed items for students at the Charles Davis Foundation. Please bring to school until September 28: belts, scarves, gloves, winter hats, and school uniforms (white, navy, red, or black polo shirts and navy, black, or khaki pants).  The children who need these items range in age from PreK-4th grade – sizes 4T-10. Half of the Cold Mountain Ascent group of the Sophomore Retreat standing on top (6030') of the group’s namesake. Almost 80 sophomores and teachers spent 3 days backpacking and rock climbing in North Carolina’s Pisgah National Forest with a final day spent white-water rafting on the Nantahala River.

MS Athletics Tigers of the Week
Congratulations to Hannah Dobie (golf) and Alexis Hood (volleyball) on being named middle school Tigers of the Week.

Middle School Soccer Meeting Rescheduled

The parent/coaches’ meeting has been rescheduled. Parents of boys now meet with the coach at 5:00 on Monday, September 24 in the Gordon Multipurpose room. Parents of girls meet at 5:00 on Tuesday, September 25. Soccer players are welcome to attend.

Volunteers Needed for XC Meets

USN is hosting two major high school cross country meets at the Steeplechase on Saturday, September 22 from 8:00–2:00. The team seeks parent volunteers to assist as finish line chute workers (20) and t-shirt salespeople (5). Anyone interested may email Coach Ahmed: zahmed@usn.org.


Health Forms Needed
All high school and middle school athletes must have a health form on file with the athletic department before they engage in team practices. Forms are on the USN website and should be returned to Josh Scouten in the athletics office. Email jscouten@usn.org if you have questions.
