artclectic 2005 Jury Panel
artclectic is delighted to announce the jury panel for 2005:
Susan W. Knowles is an independent curator and art writer who has held curatorial positions at Cheekwood Museum of Art and the Metro Arts Commission and is Curator for the Nashville International Airport’s Arts at the Airport program. Recent independent projects include: Red Grooms: Selections from the Graphic Work, a national traveling exhibition for the Tennessee State Museum. Knowles is Tennessee Editor for Art Papers, and produces art features for WPLN radio.Billy Renkl received his education at Auburn University and The University
of South Carolina. He teaches drawing and illustration at Austin Peay State University in Clarksville, TN. Recent illustration clients include
Southwest Airlines, Rigby Publishing, How magazine, and Vanderbilt University. Recent exhibitions include the Cumberland Gallery, The Tennessee Arts Commission, and Marguerite Oestreicher Fine Arts in New Orleans.
Nancy A. Saturn is the owner of The American Artisan, a leading handcraft gallery for three decades. In conjunction, she has operated the Artisan Festival in Centennial Park, now in its 35th year. Nancy has juried for the American Crafts Council many times, and assisted many Fairs in their selection process. For the past ten years, Nancy has served on the Metro Nashville Arts Commission and is currently the Chair.
